Embulgama Rajamaha Viharaya
- Embulgama Rajamaha Viharaya is located in the Henpita Grama Niladhari Division No. 451 of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division in the Colombo District, on the banks of the Kelani River, in a beautiful mountain range.
- In the past, it was also known by various names such as Ambili Grama Vehera, Ratgal Vehera, Embulhelu Vehera, Embulpasa Vehera, Embilla Vehera, Embalawa Vehera, etc.
- The main reason for the use of these names for the area around this temple is the belief that it was used to provide Ambula to the Maha Thero and the kings in the past.
- One of the legends says that the great Arahant Maliyadeva resided here, where nearly thirty caves can be seen.
ඇඹුල්ගම රජමහ විහාරය
- ඇඹුල්ගම රජමහා විහාරය යනු කොළඹ දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ, හෝමාගම ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයේ අංක 451 හේන්පිට ග්‍රාම නිලධාරී වසමේ කැලණි ගඟ අසබඩ, සුන්දර කඳුගැටයක් ආශ්‍රිතව පිහිටා ඇත.
- අතීතයේදී අම්බිලි ග්‍රාම වෙහෙර, රත්ගල් වෙහෙර, ඇඹුල්හෙලු වෙහෙර, ඇඹුල්පස වෙහෙර, ඇඹිල්ල වෙහෙර,ඇඹලව වෙහෙර ආදී විවිධ නම්වලින්ද හඳුන්වාදී ඇත.
- මෙම විහාරය ආශ්‍රිත ප්‍රදේශයට එම නම් භාවිත වීමට බලපෑ ප්‍රධාන හේතුව ලෙස සලකන්නේ අතීතයේ මහ නාහිමිවරුන්ට හා රජදරුවන්ට ඇඹුල සැපයූ බවට වන විශ්වාසයි.
- ලෙන් තිහකට ආසන්න ප්‍රමාණයක් දැකගත හැකි මෙහි එක් ජනප්‍රවාදයක සඳහන් වන අන්දමට මලියදේව මහ රහතන් වහන්සේ වැඩ සිට ඇත.
